Impact Assessment of Seed Village Programme by Using Difference in Difference (DiD) Approach in Telangana, India

Seed village programmes are becoming popular in developing countries due to their potential supply of affordable seed farmers a timely manner. Under the programme, profitability growing is important as it incentivizes them grow more for distribution other farmers. This paper tried analyze impact programme on paddy crop by using Difference-in-Difference approach. The study was conducted during year 2020 India. A significant increase compared non-seed noticed SVP scheme. It observed that after introduction SVP, there about 69.01% profits seed-farmers only 5.63% among non-seed-farmers. Age, education, acreage under production and farming experience contributed 71.6% total variation higher through crop, leaving rest extraneous factors. difference-in-difference regression results showed that, with India, an INR 13,032/acre (186 USD). These show most favor benefited from this programme.
